Peter M. Newman is a trial attorney representing plaintiffs
in catastrophic personal injury litigation including products
liability, medical malpractice, automotive, premises liability
and other complex personal injury and wrongful death actions.
Mr. Newman has helped clients and their families obtain
multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts by uncovering
defects in the design and manufacture of machinery, by exposing
the dangerous and illegal practices of a trucking company
and its tractor-trailer driver, and in cases involving pharmaceutical
side-effects, birth injuries, construction site injuries
and claims against physicians and hospitals for failure
to diagnose life-threatening conditions.
Mr. Newman earned his undergraduate degree from the University
of Pennsylvania in 1988 and his law degree, cum laude, from
Tulane University in 1991. He clerked for the Honorable
Stephen J. McEwen, Jr., President Judge Emeritus of the
Superior Court of Pennsylvania, in 1991 and 1992. Prior
to joining Feldman, Shepherd, Wohlgelernter, Tanner and Weinstock,
Mr. Newman was an associate at Kline & Specter, P.C.,
and a shareholder at Lavin, Coleman, O’Neil, Ricci,
Finarelli & Gray, where he represented automotive, industrial
and consumer product manufacturers in products liability
actions. Mr. Newman is a member of the American, Pennsylvania
