Alan M. Feldman was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He graduated magna cum laude from Temple University in 1973, and is a 1976 graduate of Temple University School of Law. He has devoted his professional career to complex personal injury and other civil litigation, achieving a record of success in a wide variety of cases. Mr. Feldman has achieved multi-million dollar recoveries against HMOs and health insurance companies for fraudulent medical care (profiled on Dateline NBC), represented the families of Philadelphia firemen killed at the One Meridian Plaza and Rising Sun Baptist Church fires, won a significant verdict for a client denied a "jackpot" by an Atlantic City casino, and won seven- and eight-figure settlements in airbag, fuel-fed fire, and other automobile defect ("crashworthiness") cases.
In 2006, Mr. Feldman served as Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association and its 13,000 members. Mr. Feldman has also been elected President of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, lectured and published materials for numerous programs and seminars, co-authored a textbook on premises liability law and taught trial advocacy at Temple University School of Law. He has also served in leadership positions with other professional organizations. He is one of a select number of trial lawyers certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Feldman has served as Managing Partner of Feldman Shepherd since the firm was founded in 1987.
