$4,000,000.00 Settlement for head injury to eleven (11) year old caused in a motor vehicle accident in a New Jersey showroom

On May 24, 2007, just prior to selecting a jury, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Feldman Shepherd attorneys, John M. Dodig, Esquire and Jason A. Daria, Esquire were successful in obtaining a $4,000,000.00 settlement for Anthony LaPorte. Anthony LaPorte was eleven (11) years old at the time he was injured in a motor vehicle accident which occurred on January 8, 2000 in the showroom of an Atlantic County New Jersey car dealership.

Minor LaPorte was injured after he entered an unattended vehicle on the showroom floor. The keys were left in the ignition and Minor LaPorte started the vehicle and drove it across the showroom floor crashing into other vehicles. Minor LaPorte sustained a head injury which necessitated multiple surgical procedures. The settlement monies were placed in a Special Needs Trust and will take care of Minor LaPorte’s needs for the rest of his life.
